Our Pillars

Six interconnected areas of intervention — each addressing a distinct barrier between where our youth are and where they could be.

Recidivism Intervention

We address community violence at its root through Structured Technology Behavioral Incentive (STBI) Invested Time — replacing idle time with behavioral coaching, SEL, and structured competitive engagement.

21.4%

of DC homicides and non-fatal shootings involved youth ages 15–20 in 2024 — nearly double 2021's rate

Absenteeism Intervention

We use technology as the ultimate hook to drive consistent attendance. Mobile Lab access is earned through showing up — turning the desire to play into a reliable attendance incentive that schools alone can't replicate.

56%

of DC high schoolers were chronically absent in 2023–24. Students with severe absence enroll in postsecondary at half the rate of those who attend regularly.

Reading Literacy & Development

Academic growth is a prerequisite for digital access. Our Compass Challenges use gaming manuals as functional literacy tools, producing measurable gains in reading fluency.

Digital Fluency & Tech Mastery

Participants learn to master professional-grade hardware, not just consume it — building the technical competence the modern workforce demands.

Career & College Readiness

65% of Gen Z identify as content creators. We build toward that economy with professional communication, reentry portfolios, and a content creation curriculum grounded in real career pathways.

Financial Literacy

Game strategy meets life strategy. Our Work-to-Play curriculum covers banking, credit mechanics, and economic history — teaching youth to own the board, not just play it.

Testimonials

Trusted by Communities

An Outstanding Community Partner for Our Youth

What stood out most was the genuine energy and care Kontroller Kulture brought to our community. They created an experience that was about much more than video games — it was about connection, mentorship, positive recreation, and giving our youth a safe and enjoyable outlet.

Above and Beyond, Even Last Minute

They came through for us at the very last minute when we were trying to put together a birthday party for my nephew. They were extremely friendly, kind, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. They brought everything we needed directly to us, which took a lot of stress off our shoulders. The price was very reasonable and the value was honestly incredible.

A 10/10 Experience

We had the absolute BEST experience with Kontroller Kulture for my son's birthday — a 10/10 across the board.
